The latest season of Amazing War Stories is now live. Using the latest 3D audio technology we tell inspiring true stories each taken from the museums we support
Listen NowOur Ambassadors are vital for our work. Raising awareness for the museums and charities we support needs some serious muscle behind us, and we are proud to have Jason Fox as our first ambassador.
Jason, also known as ‘Foxy’, is perhaps best known to the general public for his role as a DS on Channel 4’s hit show SAS Who Dares Wins and the US version Special Forces World’s Toughest Test on the Fox Network. However, within the military community, Jason is equally well regarded. He joined the Royal Marines Commandos in 1992 at the age of 16 and nearly 10 years as a Commando before joining the elite Special Boat Squadron in 2002. Sadly, after a further 10 years of service, in some of the world’s most dangerous war zones, Jason was medically discharged in 2012 suffering from PTSD.
Foxy has devoted his life to good causes and cares passionately about preserving military history, veteran welfare and supporting members of the emergency services – especially around areas concerning mental health. He is also the co-founder of Rock 2 Recovery with fellow ex-Royal Marine Jamie Sanderson, an organisation we are proud to support on our site – please visit the page here to find out more.
The fact that the Royal Marines currently do not have their own dedicated museum is another cause he feels passionately about and it is aligned perfectly aligned with our mission. Although they have a museum experienced planned, they still need funds to make it happen.
