The Pilgrims Bandits is a truly unique charity. Established in 2007 with the help of Special Force Members it became registered as a charity in 2010, with the sole aim to help and inspire injured personnel to live life to the full.
The mantra ‘Always a Little Further’ is core to the charity’s attitude and they help former injured soldiers find themselves again by enabling them to undertake challenges they thought would be out of reach for them forever.
From, kayaking extraordinary distances, jumping from aircraft, running races, trekking across inhospitable terrain, self confidence is restored and self-belief instilled – Always a Little Further. Matt Hellyer, the Charities CEO, a former warrant officer in the SAS appears in one of podcasts, The Punishers of Pebble Island, and is a real supporter of our initiative.
This charity punches far above it’s weight and is really worthy of our support – every one of the soldiers they help are real heroes.
